Isabela is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and worked and performed for years at one of Brazil's top samba schools, Salgueiro. Salguerio is generally considered one of the top four schools in all of Brazil. The  school came in second place in the Rio competition twice during Isabela's time with them.

Isabela studied with Carlinhos de Salgueiro, one of Rio's most respected samba dance teachers and carries his teaching in her dancing style. Isabela now lives in El Paso, Texas, and invites all who have an interest to learn and join in the joyous energy of the Brazilian samba!
